It’s Not Too Late to Catch Up
Falling behind on taxes can happen for many reasons.
You may have experienced a difficult personal period, health concerns, business disruption, missing records, financial stress, uncertainty about what to file, or simply one overwhelming year that turned into several.
The longer returns remain unfiled, the more difficult the situation can feel. Avoiding it can also increase the possibility of interest, penalties, interrupted benefits, CRA correspondence, or formal demands to file.
Taking the first step creates clarity.
We help replace uncertainty with an organized process, realistic next steps, and professional support.
Start with a clear plan.
Previous Year Services
Previous years tax filing, also called prior year tax filing or catch up tax preparation, involves preparing tax returns that were not filed by their original deadlines.
Depending on your situation, this may include:
- Personal T1 income tax returns
- Sole proprietor T1 returns
- Corporate T2 tax returns
- GST or PST returns
- Payroll information returns and filings
- Prior year bookkeeping
- Prior year accounting
- Prior year adjustments
Prior year returns, filings, and adjustments may be eligible for electronic filing depending on the year and filing circumstances. Rest assured, regardless of the year or method required, our team handles the entire catch-up process for you from start to finish.
Clear answers. Confident decisions. Year-round support.
The first goal is clarity
When several years are outstanding, it can be difficult to know where to begin. We start by identifying:
- Which returns are missing
- Which returns were filed
- What income was reported to CRA
- Which tax slips may be available
- What bookkeeping is incomplete
- Whether business or rental schedules are required
- Whether GST or HST returns are outstanding
- Whether CRA has issued notices or demands
- Whether balances, penalties, or interest may apply
- Whether a voluntary disclosure should be discussed

Peace of Mind Begins with Knowing Where You Stand
Unfiled tax returns create uncertainty.
You may not know what you owe, whether you are entitled to refunds, what CRA has on file, or how serious the situation has become.
Filing replaces assumptions with accurate information.
It allows you to understand the past, address what is outstanding, and make better decisions moving forward.
You do not need perfect records before reaching out. You only need to take the first step.
Organized, calm guidance from start to finish.
01. Gather Your Documents
Use the checklist provided to gather all required tax slips, receipts, and supporting documents. This ensures your return is complete and accurate.
02. Book Drop Off Appointment
During this time, I will review the documents you’ve brought, confirm that I have everything needed to complete your tax return, and identify any additional information that may be required. This is also a great opportunity to ask questions or raise any tax concerns, life changes, or items you’re unsure about. This helps ensure your return is prepared accurately and with proper tax planning in mind.
03. Review, Sign and File
After your return is prepared, I will contact you to review your next steps. You can choose to:
- Book an in‑person appointment to review your tax return, sign, pay, and discuss future tax planning, or
- Sign and pay remotely for convenience. A copy of your tax return will be securely stored at the office and available the next time you visit.
Once this is completed we will file your income tax return with CRA.
